MASK MANDATE REMOVED 2/15

The California mask mandate was removed as of 2/15/22. As such, we are not requiring masks on any of our tours. That said, if you prefer to wear a mask you can absolutely do so and you would not be alone. Plenty of crawlers still choose to wear masks at check-in and while they are not drinking. This is completely acceptable.

This pub crawl takes place almost entirely indoors around large groups of people. Vaccination for COVID19 is encouraged but not required. While we'd love to show you a good time, if you are uncomfortable indoors around large groups of strangers, or are immunocompromised, it is recommended that you do not join this event

Feel free to contact us with any questions. Hopefully we see you soon! - SDPC

ONGOING PUB CRAWL COVID RULES

Lately we have been getting a lot of questions about what the COVID Rules are in downtown San Diego. Let us outline what is going on.

As many of you know, on 12/15/21 the State of California reinstituted the indoor mask mandate in San Diego County. You may be wondering how this affects the pub crawl - allow us to explain.

It appears every bar is treating this mandate differently, however, most are very relaxed about the mask rules. That said, always expect a bit of the unexpected. As you know the rules can change very quickly. Here is what we know:

1. Please bring a mask with you and be prepared to wear it while you are in line waiting to enter each bar. 2. You will most likely NOT be required to wear the mask once you enter the venue. If it is not required, the decision on whether you choose to wear one or not is entirely up to you. 3. If you do not have a mask, we will have a free one for you at check-in.

That is all we have for now. While we'd love to show you a good time, if you are uncomfortable indoors around large groups of strangers, or are immunocompromised, it is recommended that you do not join us until you feel safer in public. - SDPC

PUBLIC CRAWLS REOPENING IN JUNE!

As of right now, San Diego County will begin allowing all restaurants and bars to reopen without restrictions starting June 15th, 2021. With that in mind, San Diego Pub Crawler is planning to reopen our public pub crawl's starting the weekend of June 18th! Crawl sizes will be limited to 24 people for the first month while we get back into the swing of things. Please check back on our website after May 15th for more updated information. You can see the full list of services and their status by visiting the COVID19.ca.gov website and typing in San Diego as the county.

If you are looking for an event before June 18th, check our our Gaslamp Promenade Crawl which is now accepting reservations for small private groups of 7 to 15 people in the Gaslamp District! It is strongly recommended that all participants in group reservations are part of the same household and/or have been quarantining together. Please see our post on 6/14/20 for all applicable pub crawl rules which are still in effect as of 4/18/21.

INDOOR DINING TO REOPEN 3/19/21

New Update: As of 3/16/21, San Diego is now back in the red tier meaning San Diego can ease restrictions for restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, museums and more as soon as Wednesday, the state said. Until we get more outlined guidelines from the state, particularly on what percentage of patrons can be indoors, we will remain closed. That said, we should have an update about our pub crawl offerings by Tuesday, March 23rd. Feel free to email or call us then. You can see the full list of services and their status by visiting the COVID19.ca.gov website and typing in San Diego as the county.

The changes to our tier and what is outlined for bars and restaurants will affect our new Gaslamp Promenade Crawl which will be offered for small private groups of 6 to 12 people in the Gaslamp District.

IN PERSON RESTAURANT SERVICE TO STOP AS OF 12/6/20

New Update: As of 11/15/20, San Diego County regressed back into the most restrictive "purple tier". Then, on 12/6/20, all in person dining was restricted leaving only takeout & delivery service. Bars without food remain closed. You can see the full list of services and their status by visiting the COVID19.ca.gov website and typing in San Diego as the county.

The changes to outdoor dining has affected our new Gaslamp Promenade Crawl which is sadly no longer accepting reservations for small private groups of 6 to 12 people in the Gaslamp District. That said, we will be back and ready to host your events once we get a safety clearance from the state of California. Check back to see updates on our status! Until then, happy holidays! -SDPC

RULES UPDATE AS OF 11/15/20

New Update: As of 11/15/20, San Diego County has regressed back into the most restrictive "purple tier". Thus, indoor dining at restaurants is no longer allowed. Extended outdoor dining is still available. Bars without food remain closed. The changes to indoor dining does not affect our new Gaslamp Promenade Crawl which is accepting reservations for small private groups of 6 to 12 people in the Gaslamp District! All crawls are 100% outdoors, include food, beverages, and table reservations. It is strongly recommended that all participants in group reservations are part of the same household and/or have been quarantining together. It is strongly recommended that all participants in group reservations are part of the same household and/or have been quarantining together. Please see our last post on 6/14/20 for all applicable pub crawl rules which are still in effect as of 9/8/20.

Important Info Regarding COVID-19

We are so excited to announce that as of 6/2/20 we are now accepting reservations for small groups in the Gaslamp District. However, due to social distancing measures, there are still no public pub crawls being offered. It is strongly recommended that all participants in small group reservations are part of the same household and/or have been quarantining together. Below are the current rules in the Gaslamp District:

  • Currently most of our bar partners are operating at 50% capacity with distancing measures in place.
  • All patrons must have a mask to enter.
  • All patrons must be seated. Once you are seated you may remove your mask.
  • Larger groups may have to be seated at multiple tables in order to ensure proper distancing.
  • Food must be ordered if you plan to drink. This is mandated by the state of California.
  • Some venues do have live music or DJ's, however, dancing or standing around the bar is not allowed.
  • All venues must close by 10pm.

The following are our personal pub crawl rules:

  • All patrons must have a face covering to participate which must be worn during check-in and upon entrance to every venue.
  • When you book with San Diego Pub Crawler, your tour will include table reservations at each venue. This becomes your home base and is where you will remain while you are at each venue (with exceptions, such as using the restroom).
  • By joining our pub crawl you consent to having your temperature checked. This could be by an SDPC representative and/or by each individual venue before entry.
  • Financial minimums on private parties have been lowered from 10 people to 6 people in order to offer financial help to those who still want to celebrate special occasions in smaller groups. This means if you have less than 6 people, you pay for 6 people. If you have more than 6, you only pay for what you have in attendance.
  • There is a maximum group size of 12 people.
  • Each participant must sign a COVID-19 waiver before entry. Additionally, each crawler must believe to be free of COVID-19 and also have been symptom free for the preceding last 14 days.
  • Full refunds will be offered to all groups who cancel at least 7 days in advance regardless of circumstance. Individual refunds will be offered to those who develop any symptoms or have personal concerns and are unable or unwilling to attend the event. Financial minimums will still apply.
